In seasons of pastoral transition, uncertainty can quickly become overwhelming, unless you have a clear plan to navigate it with purpose.
For too many, the transition is a path to frustration, anger, and burnout.
Recent studies from the Hartford Institute, Barna Group, and the Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling confirm as much.
In our experience… the first 2-3 years of your pastoral transition you are personally 50-70% more vulnerable to leaving ministry than at any other time.
"Working with Chad has been a tremendous encouragement. His years of ministry experience, combined with his heart for mentoring, are truly inspiring. I highly recommend partnering with Chad for anyone seeking to navigate ministry in healthy and effective ways."

The Momentum Cohort is a coaching and community support program for pastors in transition. Cohorts go through 8 months together in a private, virtual group with other pastors in transition. The program is designed to address the unique challenges, burdens, and isolation while creating forward MOMENTUM to carry you past this season with a lifetime of ministry application.

Four things you might be thinking right now.
You will get time BACK from this. You will learn habits, techniques, and strategies to maximize your planning and keep you from wasting time and over-extending.
You are getting 90 minutes a month of passion-infusing, idea-generating, encouragement that will inspire your work for weeks. You’ll find you miss the sessions, and you’ll wish they were even more frequently.
The homework assignments are designed to apply your learnings, disrupt unhelpful habits, build helpful patterns, and enhance your ministry effectiveness in real time.
The assignments flow from your real work context so that your “homework” is related to, and applicable to, your day-to-day job of pastoring your church. It’s not “extra” work outside of your job like going to school; it is productive work that relates to your job, like an internship.
Here’s the hard truth: you will most likely waste time and spend money anyway trying to figure out issues, or muscle through challenges, that we will work on together within the first few sessions. We’ve seen this happen for more than 20 years of ministry.
The cost puts “skin in the game” and commits you to the program – to change your habits, to build support with your peers, and to preserve.
Over 8 months of the program you are paying less than $50 a month. The church world is full of services that are all ongoing subscriptions, but this is NOT that. This is a one-time investment in getting you equipped and enabled to get through the transition period.
False, we created this program out of our own experience both successfully preventing some gifted and Godly pastors from burning out, and in watching other former pastors hang it up. All of them have people who heard and responded to the gospel through their time in ministry. It was not about calling, or obedience, or commitment. Most of them lacked the very support program that we set out to create to give them momentum out of a transition period.
Feeling overwhelmed is not necessarily because you aren’t called to the work. You may just need rest, or support, or both. Remember, even Elijah burned out under the Juniper tree when fleeing from Jezebel (1 Kings 19).
